CATEGORY MANAGER-GLOBAL CLIENT
Category Marketing Manager and motivated
leader needed for a leading bakery provider. Our client is a highly
growth-oriented company with a values-oriented culture poised for
continued growth throughout North America.
Here are some position highlights:
Execution with Excellence – Develops annual business plans,
secure buy-in cross functionally and from senior management and executes
such plans on time and on budget. Manages all aspects of the marketing
mix: product, packaging, pricing, promotion, merchandising and
advertising.
Innovation/Growth – Identifies and
develops innovative programs to drive growth in the portfolio
Analysis, Accountability for Results
– Analyzes category performance and understands drivers of
performance, recommending corrective action proactively when required.
Has full P&L ownership. Manages A&P budgets, optimizing spending
while adhering to approved budget
Communication/Effective Team Player
– Works in close partnership with the Customer Marketing Directors
to ensure flawless execution of developed programs. Develops exceptional
cross functional relationships to ensure overall commitment to portfolio
Strategy Development – Develops 5 year
category/brand strategy to deliver corporate share and growth objectives
The successful candidate must have a proven track record in the
following:
- Designing, executing and delivering marketing strategies on
time and within budget
- Executing and managing multiple advertising promotions
resulting in successful results and growth in various portfolios and
delivering results according to P&L
- Working flawlessly in
executing projects with team members and strengthening/building
strong teams
The
successful candidate will also have:
- 7-10 years marketing experience (some in sales)
- University/college degree – preferably in business or
marketing
- Entrepreneurial and creative
- Knowledge of Food Business
- Strategic thinker, analytical
- Works well independently and in teams
- Strong Communicator – verbal and written
- Organized & disciplined
- Strong Project Management skills
- Research experience preferred
- Can work under pressure in fast paced environment
- Strong computer skills – MS Office, Excel, Powerpoint,
Cognos ideally
Moderate travel required, up to 25%.
